Robbins asks Mattingly about why she got into the cannabis industry. She explains her goal of helping others and her four years at The Dispensary and how she has helped this location build its customer base through education, inclusion, and a strategic focus on decreasing stigma. Mattingly described how the mothers of children who attended the same school as her children would visit her dispensary, recognize her, and try to hide. She said this has prompted her to address stigma head on and strive to give all staff members and customers a feeling of comfort and insight.

Mattingly described how she has built a staff of passionate professionals on which she can rely to gather information about the appropriateness of products or the best ways to feature them. Robbins and Mattingly described the new brand Origyn Extracts from Ayr Wellness that is sold at The Dispensary.
"They Believe in Healing"
"It is incredibly important to me to be able to not only help our customers, but also help our staff. To help the people that run this massive organization. They believe in healing. We have people who are seen and people who are heard at the ground level," said Mattingly during the C3 Podcast interview.
When Robbins asked Mattingly about the demographics of her customer base, she responded: "Demographically, it's everybody." She continued: "I think that's something I really learned being a store manager. There is no right or wrong person that smokes or consumes cannabis.
Wide Variety of Customers
It is from young people with a medical card seeking out chronic pain, like you said, maybe diabetes or cancer...all sorts of things like that. To anxiety. But on top of that we also see teachers, doctors, lawyers...people like that that really had a stigma against cannabis until recently and they're really starting to see the benefits involved."
