Proud Sponsor of the Lake Las Vegas Cycling Club

Updated: Nov 8

Higher Learning LV is proud to announce that it is now the exclusive sponsor of the Lake Las Vegas Cycling Club located outside of Las Vegas in Henderson, Nevada!

This cycling club offers residents of east Henderson (with a focus on people living in Lake Las Vegas, Tuscany, and Calico Ridge) the opportunity to establish and maintain health and fitness via regular exercise in the form of bicycling in the beautiful backdrop of Lake Las Vegas and Clark's County's picturesque Wetlands Park.

This group is available to participants who are 21 and older. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian. This cycling club is intended for participants at most capability levels.

Tuesday Ride

Every Tuesday, the Lake Las Vegas Cycling Club hosts a gentle 7-mile ride on the Wetlands Loop in Wetlands Park. This gorgeous ride, filled with colorful mountains and running adjacent to the lush Las Vegas Wash, begins and ends at Terrazza Park just outside of Lake Las Vegas on Galleria Drive and is light to moderate in difficulty. It includes no mountain climbs, but plenty of short hills and a relaxed washboard effect in places.

Check the map of Wetlands Park here.

Terrazza Park Departure

It is recommended that ride participants arrive at Terrazza Park (1992 E. Galleria Dr., Henderson, NV 89011) at 3:45 pm to allow time for a proper equipment inspection and gear check—including inflation of tires—to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride.

Coming Soon: Weekend Ride

The Lake Las Vegas Cycling Group will soon begin offering a weekend ride that is longer and more challenging than the Tuesday ride. It will also begin organizing special tours in the area that focus on local landmarks, including Lake Mead, Wetlands Park, and the Lake Mead Parkway Trail.
