Our Mission: Inclusive Science-based Training

Updated: Oct 11, 2022

At Higher Learning LV, our Mission Statement is "to provide premium on-demand education—in the form of convenient online audio and video courses—-for staff members within the legal cannabis industry, including aspiring graduates and transitional professionals looking to enter this newly legal marketplace."

Our Values Statement

Similarly, our Values Statement reads: "At Higher Learning LV, ignorance, misinformation, and stigma are the enemy. We believe that legal hemp and cannabis provide hundreds of helpful phytomolecules, including tremendous economic opportunity for all social segments.

Moderates & Conservatives Excluded

Unfortunately, the cannabis industry often excludes moderate and conservative communities and voices. Media outlets featuring articles in the tone of "Top 10 Stoner Flicks" or "Why Sex is Better on Weed" often fail to attract more conservative audiences.

In fact, many cannabis companies and media outlets arguably repel moderates and conservatives who do not share the core values of self-identifying "stoners" and a 420-driven youth culture enamored not by the prospects of improved health, but merely getting high. Hyper-liberal media sources typically fail to communicate a tone of inclusivity that resonates with moderates and conservatives.

New Educational Campaign

For this reason, Higher Learning LV has launched an educational campaign that targets moderates and conservatives with a message of evidence-based cannabis science and a focus on economic and health benefits. The first manifestation of this campaign is our new Twitter account Cannabis for Conservatives.

Higher Learning LV has launched an educational campaign that targets moderates and conservatives with a message of evidence-based cannabis science and a focus on economic and health benefits.

Cannabis for Conservatives is, as its name implies, a safe and welcoming place for those who identify as moderate, conservative, or evangelical. It respects conservatives and allows them to learn the potential benefits of cannabis and hemp. We could have just as easily named the Twitter account Marijuana for Moderates.

More important, perhaps, is the fact that this campaign doesn't assume that its audience supports or consumes marijuana or hemp. In fact, we know that many conservatives perceive there to be harms delivered by the herb. This is a primary motivation behind our development of premium education that teaches the unbiased reality of the business and biochemistry of marijuana.

In addition to the Cannabis for Conservatives Twitter account, we are also shining a spotlight on conservatives who embrace and promote rational cannabis policy. One such voice is Miguel Torrez, a military veteran from Florida who promotes cannabis legalization and normalization and has incorporated its use into his daily religious practices.

Hundreds of millions of moderates and conservatives in North America—and throughout the world—believe in the potential economic and health benefits of hemp and cannabis. Unfortunately, things like ignorance, stigma, fear, and peer pressure often prevent them from investigating the potential benefits for patients, lifestyle consumers, and society overall.

Wide-scope Inclusivity Approach

Please note that this educational campaign is not called Conservatives for Cannabis. Our message is not inherently conservative. Or liberal. Rather, our tone and intent is based in peer-reviewed science. And science is objective.

Hundreds of millions of moderates and conservatives in North America—and throughout the world—believe in the potential economic and health benefits of hemp and cannabis.

We believe that this inclusivity must reach beyond socioeconomic and demographic boundaries to strategically target people of all political affiliations and religious or spiritual belief systems. If cannabis advocates desire a world in which medical or adult-use dispensaries appear in nearly every community, we must first educate all elements of society about the pros and cons of this controversial plant and the thousands of products and services emerging from its legalization.

Thank you for helping us educate conservatives in your professional and social circles with a message of rational science and economic progress.
