Our Values Statement

Similarly, our Values Statement reads: "At Higher Learning LV, ignorance, misinformation, and stigma are the enemy. We believe that legal hemp and cannabis provide hundreds of helpful phytomolecules, including tremendous economic opportunity for all social segments.

"In hyper-competitive markets such as legal cannabis, knowledge is critical to efficiency. And efficiency is critical to success. We help companies and their staff members develop and refine both—always with an eye on the bottom line."

Conservatives Typically Excluded

Unfortunately, the education, training, and marketing of cannabis often excludes conservative communities and subcultures. Media outlets featuring articles in the tone of "Top 10 Stoner Flicks" or "Why Sex is Better on Weed" often fail to attract conservative audiences. In fact, much cannabis media arguably repels conservatives who do not share the core values of self-identifying "stoners" and a 420-driven youth culture enamored not by the prospects of improved health, but instead merely getting high (as illustrated by the current myopic industry marketing focus on delta-9 THC percentage).

New Educational Campaign

For this reason, Higher Learning LV has launched an educational campaign that targets conservatives and evangelicals with a message of evidence-based cannabis science and a focus on economic and health benefits (as revealed by peer-reviewed research studies). The first manifestation of this campaign is our new Twitter account Cannabis for Conservatives.

Higher Learning LV has launched an educational campaign that targets conservatives and evangelicals with a message of evidence-based cannabis science and a focus on economic and health benefits as revealed by peer-reviewed research studies.

Cannabis for Conservatives is, as its name implies, a safe and welcoming place for those who identify as conservative. It respects conservatives and allows them to learn the science-based potential benefits of cannabis and hemp for both the economy and human health.

More important, perhaps, is the fact that this campaign doesn't assume that its audience supports or consumes marijuana or hemp. In fact, we know that many conservatives perceive there to be harms delivered by the herb. This is a primary motivation behind our effort to develop and deliver great education about the reality of the business and biochemistry of marijuana.

In addition to the Cannabis for Conservatives Twitter account, we are also shining a spotlight on conservatives who embrace and promote rational cannabis policy. One such voice is Miguel Torrez, a military veteran from Florida who promotes cannabis legalization and normalization and has incorporated its use into his daily religious practices.

Tens of millions of conservatives and evangelicals in North America and throughout the world believe in the potential economic and health benefits of hemp and cannabis. Unfortunately, ignorance, stigma, fear, and peer pressure often prevent them from investigating the potential benefits for patients, lifestyle consumers, and society overall.

Wide-scope Inclusivity Approach

Please note that this educational campaign (and the Twitter account bearing its name) is not called Conservatives for Cannabis. Our message is not inherently conservative or liberal. Rather, the tone and intent of both our no-cost and fee-based educational resources is based in peer-reviewed science and embraces a truly inclusive audience.

Tens of millions of conservatives and evangelicals in North America and throughout the world believe in the potential economic and health benefits of hemp and cannabis.

We believe that this inclusivity must reach beyond socioeconomic and demographic boundaries to strategically target people of all political affiliations and religious or spiritual belief systems. If advocates desire a world in which medical or adult-use dispensaries appear in nearly every community, we must first step back to educate all elements of society about the true pros and cons of this controversial plant and the thousands of products and services emerging from its legalization.

Stay tuned for additional projects under the umbrella of our ongoing Cannabis for Conservatives educational campaign. Thank you for helping us educate conservatives in your professional and social circles with a message of rational science and economic progress.
